PIMA COUNTY APPROVES GYM PROJECT
On August 18, 2008, the Pima County Board of Supervisors unanimously approved an agreement with Southern Arizona Community Sports, Inc. to jointly develop, design, construct and operate a multi-court indoor facility dedicated to youth sports.
SPORTING CHANCE KICKS OF CAPITAL CAMPAIGN FOR YOUTH GYM
Sporting Chance Youth Basketball, Inc., a Tucson-based non-profit organization that has been promoting the growth and development of youth basketball in Southern Arizona since 1993, kicked off the capital campaign for the Southern Arizona Indoor Sports Center in style by pledging $100,000 to the project. Now it's time for the rest of the community to pitch in. SACS, Inc. is accepting tax-deductible donations to help achieve its goal of raising at least $1 million from the private sector.
